Storm Damage and Mold in Morris Plains
The breached roof in this Morris Plains vacant house soaked the drywall ceiling over a number of days. The smoke detector stopped beeping after the SERVPRO tech removed the battery. The real problem was now to quickly dry the material and gently scrape the surface of the porous surface. Luckily, and with skill, the onset of the mold colonies were successfully removed with the use of a soda blaster. The After Photo shows some staining on the ceiling that does not need to be torn out and replace, much to the delight our the homeowner. We can apply an odor-suppressing primer and then simply apply an overcoat to the entire ceiling--"Like it never even happened." We strive to restore and not replace saving our customers money and distruptions.
